Paper Towns - Book Review

Hello beautiful people!

A few weeks ago I finally started reading the book Paper Towns by John Green. I've wanted to read it since I read his book The Fault In Our Stars last year. Since I was now pressured to read Paper Towns before the movie comes out I read it in only two days. (And I haven't even been to the cinema to see the movie yet). Normally I don't read books that fast but this book just got me so good. And that is the reason I thought I should recommend it to you today. This is my first book review/recommandation though, so don't be too mean (Even though I don't think you could be mean to me, since you are all such lovely people)

Content

The novel "Paper Towns" by John Green has been published in 2008 and was his fourth book.
The story is about Quentin, mostly called "Q", who seems to be an ordinary guy in his senior year in High School. He is what probably many people would call a "nerd". When he was a child he had this friend called Margo Roth Spiegelman but she is one of those "cool" girls in High School, so that the two of them aren't what you'd call friends anymore. That's  probably something many of you can relate to. She is one of those girls where you would be like: "Wow, this girl has experienced many adventures in her life! I'd love to be friends with her!!" To Q she is kind of the perfect girl and he just can't keep himself from loving her, even though they barely talk.

One night Margo is suddenly standing outside his window and asks him to help her with something. When he finally agrees to come with her, he doesn't know that this night will be the best of his life. So many things happen and he thinks that everything could chane and Margo would maybe like to be friends with him again, maybe even more.
As he goes to school the next morning Margo is gone and nobody knows a thing about it. Quentin couldn't be more sad since he thought that things would finally change. That's when he sees a piece of peper in Margos window. He instantly knows what to do and starts to follos that clues that Margo left. Will he find her? And more important: Is this what she really wants?

Review

I can proudly say that this book got me at the prologue (haha, see what I did there). Sometimes it takes time to really get into the story, but after the first few lines I was already in love with the book. It's just the way that John Green writes combined with this amazing plot. If you've read any other book he wrote you probably know what I'm saying. There is something about the way he writes. I really thought that it was some teenager telling me the story. Also, he is so good at mentioning psycholgical things or theories as if they're the easiest things to understand. I like that this is one of those books that makes you think. Even though this exact same story probably wouldn't happen in real life, it is still somehow realistic. It's also easy to identify with Quentin since he's just such a nice and shy human being.

As you can probably see by now, I don't really know how to explain it to you. All I can really say is that I want all of you to go read it and see for yourself. Personally I think that this was one of the best books I've read in a while now and that I am really excited about seeing how they transferred the whole plot into the movie.

Make sure to leave a comment about your opinion onn the book.
Also I think about doing review on the movie as well, so comment if you want me to do that.

I will talk to you soon,

Norina xx
